Lama’s two songs to texts form Darwish’s Yatirou-I Haanou felt like extended accompanied recitative, expressively presented by an excellent versatile mezzo Camille Maalawy, whose repertoire represents her “passion for embracing music from many cultures”.
Camille also travelled to Ireland at Easter to perform Karl Jenkins’ Stabat Mater

Camille is going to Germany in July to take up the position of Musician in Residence at the Haus Ohrbeck Jewish Christian Conference, as well as the premiere of two new works by Julian Dawes.
